My research is directed at comprehending excited electronic states, their real-time dynamics, and the interplay with atomic degrees of freedom, exploiting recent developments in the field of parameter-free calculations at the seam of materials science and engineering, condensed-matter physics, and high-performance computing. Using and developing predictive computational capabilities, I am investigating semiconductors for optoelectronic applications and the interaction of materials with particle radiation.
